Dr Hamshi Singh

Dr Singh is a Sydney GP with over 12 years in general practice and a special interest in lifestyle and precision medicine. She works with women who want a more considered, joined-up approach to their health, one that looks at the whole picture rather than a single symptom at a time.

Her care is warm, evidence-based and practical. She takes the time to really understand what's going on for each patient and translates that into a personalised, structured plan across nutrition, movement, sleep, stress and long-term health.

Outside the clinic, Hamshi is a mum who knows firsthand what it's like to juggle a career, a family and your own wellbeing. That's part of why she built her practice, The Busy Woman's Doctor, around care that fits into real lives.

Common questions before booking

I'm a GP with a special interest in lifestyle and precision medicine. That means I use the same evidence-based general practice you'd expect, with extra training in how nutrition, movement, sleep, stress and other lifestyle factors influence chronic conditions, and how to build a plan that actually fits the individual in front of me.

The six pillars

An evidence-based framework for real, lasting change

Lifestyle Medicine is more than advice. Dr Hamshi works with her patients to understand how sleep, nutrition, movement, stress, connection, and mindset shape energy, mood, and resilience — then builds a personalised plan that fits your real life.

Sleep

Rest and recovery as the foundation of your energy, mood and capacity to cope.

Nutrition

Eating patterns that fuel your body and support long-term health, not another rigid diet.

Movement

Physical activity that fits your life and builds strength, not another impossible routine.

Stress

Understanding how stress shows up in your body and building ways to manage it so it doesn't run the show.

Connection

Social and emotional wellbeing that supports resilience and helps you feel like yourself again.

Mindset

The mental habits and self-talk that shape how you feel day to day and your ability to make change stick.

How I work with you

A structured, personalised approach in three parts

01.

A longer, deeper conversation

Ten-minute appointments don't leave room to understand a whole person. Your first consultation is 45 minutes so we can properly talk through your history, your day-to-day, and everything that's actually going on, sleep, energy, mood, cycle, stress, nutrition and movement, before we decide what to do about it.

02.

A personalised, evidence-based plan

Using a lifestyle and precision medicine lens, I take your standard results and your story and connect the dots into a plan that fits your body and your life. It's grounded in current evidence, not trends, and the difference is in how carefully your information is interpreted and translated into steps that make sense for you.

03.

Ongoing structure and accountability

Knowing what to do and being able to do it while you're juggling everything are two different things. We work together over a series of follow-up appointments to implement the plan, adjust it as life changes, and keep you supported so the work actually sticks.

Is this the right fit?

Who this is for, and who it isn't

An honest look at who tends to get the most out of working with Dr Hamshi, so you can decide before you book.

This is for you if…

  • You're a woman who wants a longer, considered conversation about your health, not a ten-minute script and out.
  • You're juggling a lot (career, family, new motherhood) and your own health has slipped down the list.
  • You want evidence-based, whole-picture care across sleep, stress, nutrition, movement, cycle and mood.
  • You're ready to work on lifestyle changes with a structured plan and follow-up support.
  • You're managing (or wanting to prevent) chronic conditions like high blood pressure, prediabetes, PCOS or endometriosis.

This isn't for you if…

  • You're looking for fringe testing, functional medicine protocols or supplement stacks.
  • You want a quick script or a repeat prescription with no wider conversation.
  • You're not in a position to work on lifestyle changes or attend follow-up appointments.
  • You need urgent or emergency care, please see your regular GP or call 000.
  • You want someone to promise a quick fix, this is a considered, longer-term approach.
